This way you can avoid getting into unnecessary financing or the need to suffer and make a major adjustment on your monthly budget. Choose for the vehicle that would perfectly match your driving needs and habit.

You will be able to find information on the internet, books and some magazines that deals with used car buying. The important details that you need to make research on are: age, mileage, usage, history, actual retail value and trade in value, maintenance record and some other things that you thing might be a good help with your decision making.

There are lots of places where you will be able to shop for your dream car. You just have to decide whether you’ll purchase from a private seller or a dealer. It is always a best decision to buy used car from a dealer it helps you avoid a lot of trouble during the process. But take note that the best bargain comes from private individuals.

Getting a car from a dealership ensures that they are accountable for any material defects or damage within a year. So when you happen to discover the damage within the first 6 months of purchase it actually means that the dealer holds responsible for solving the issue unless otherwise he has proven that the damage occurred right after the sale.

Checking Important Details Before Buying Used Cars

May 4, 2015 by Editor

Buying used cars can be very confusing. Shoppers are always doubtful of its efficiency and always worried about the maintenance cost. But if an individual is thinking about getting his own car but short on budget, buying used car is the best option.

Buying used cars need a lot of things to consider but the most crucial factor is the physical check up on the vehicle before making the final decision and closing the deal.

Here are some helpful tips when shopping for used car.

The first thing you need to check with the car is if it is on level ground. Doing this will enable you to check the tire and if there is any bending or floppy on the car.

It will also be wise if you make a thorough inspection on the cars paint work, check for scratches, roughness and waviness that maybe a result of poor paint job or the paint maybe just too old. Make sure that the car does not show any sign of rust from inside and out and on top and underneath.

Care to check the tire as well as its alignment. The tires must be worn evenly. Make sure that the spare tire is a full spare.

If you find it possible to get the car to a raise for a close inspection on the exhaust system of the car. Ensure that the system doesn’t have any leak.

Check under the hood for any dents, damage or rusts. See to it that the hoses and belts don’t have cracks and are not soft. Take into account the engine condition if it’s perfectly working and without any leak.

It’s also your responsibility as a buyer to get an inspection inside the car. Make a check up on the seats for any damage, rips or stain. Turn on the air conditioning system of the car to make sure that it is perfectly functioning. Inspect for the lights and all other regular functions and features of the car to see if its fully functional.

Test drive the car. This is the most important part of the process before deciding to buy the car. This will help you make a final assessment of the cars ability to take you to places safely. Be sure to drive the car on almost all types of highway, on uphill, rough and rocky roads, steep slopes and even on busy streets where traffic may come and go.

This way you will be able to know if the car will suit your driving needs and habits.

Buying Used Car: Negotiating and closing deal

April 25, 2015 by Editor

Deciding on the used car you want can become very complex if you don’t know the important details that needs to be taken care of and those that requires thorough research.

After all the research you’ve made and the result seem to satisfy and meet all the requirements, answered all your inquiries, then it’s time to go and negotiate to close the deal. It is a wise action to determine a fair price for your preferred used car model by appraising the automobile and know its True Market Value. TMV (True market Value) is also known as the average price paid for the used car in your state. Make sure to provide the exact mileage in order to get an accurate computation of the TMV. All the stuff mentioned will provide your dollar a fair value.

When in the negotiating process and talking to the sales person be nice and polite and never give him a hint of your maximum limit. Don’t tell him that you will pay it in cash if ever you’re a cash buyer. This way you can have a chance of getting a lower price since dealers profit well on financing basis. When he offered you a financing, you can easily decline the offer and grab the low price he offered. Don’t be afraid to walk out if the dealer isn’t prepared to pay the price.

Closing the deal may require you of some important things in order to make it a successful one. Check for the car/s registration if it’s updated; make sure that the seller will give you the car title. In some places, they require the seller and the buyer to complete a bill of sale. To avoid any hassles, as soon as you have closed the deal, register the vehicle in your name and pay any possible taxes.

Buying used car is the perfect option for people with low cost budget but needs to get their own vehicle for fast, convenient and comfortable transportation. Doing your responsibility as buyer will get you to the ideal car you’ve wanted.

Doing your part will never give you the chance to have regrets with your decision because you will certainly end up with the right one giving your hard earned money a fair value while fulfilling your goal of vehicle ownership. You get a car and you saved indeed!

Buying a Used Car? Read This First

April 24, 2015 by Editor

Just because used cars are more affordable doesn’t mean you could get the biggest returns of your investment. With more used car dealers and private sellers coming out in the market, loaded with promises, it’s now easier to fall prey into buying a lemon when you don’t take the necessary precaution.

To protect yourself from scams or all out fraud, here are some tips to keep in mind before you buy a used car.

Do Some Research

Once you come up with a short list of your favorite makes and models, research on their market value and compare prices with other dealers. You may also check online prices and see who offers the lowest reasonable price. Of course, a selling price that is set so low should raise a red flag for some possible underlying issues. The specific car might have undergone major repairs, or might have been written off. So make sure everything is clear before even moving forward with the sale.

Read This :   Checklist Before Buying Used Cars

Set Your Budget

You may have found a used car that costs just a fraction of its brand new version. But take heed, as your financial obligations do not end at the point of closing the deal. Mandatory payments for transfer of registration, car stamp duty and third-party insurance are part of what you need to consider when finalizing your budget. If you want to know more about the exact amount of each fee, ask your dealer. You might also spend a little more having the Vehicle Identification Number checked by PPSR to obtain the car’s history.

Be Careful With Deposits

There have been recent reports of dealers or private sellers requiring deposits from prospective buyers to secure the car, especially when the buyer decides to drive-test the automobile. Unfortunately for some would-be buyers, some sellers no longer refund the deposit because of the premise that the car has already been reserved. So, to secure your payment, always put every agreement you have with the seller in writing, specifying the terms (e.g., whether the deposit is refundable, etc.).

Steer Clear of Hidden Financial Encumbrances

You might spend a few dollars to pay for a PPSR or CarHistory check to obtain a detailed history of the used car. But the minimal fee you pay is worth it given the essential information you receive such as whether the car is still tied to financial encumbrance, or whether it was stolen.

Here’s More :  How To Be Smart About Buying A Used Cars

Once you have everything cleared, you’re now ready to drive the car of your dreams. With a well-maintained secondhand vehicle, not only will you save much because of the huge price difference from the brand new ones, but your car will also no longer go through steep depreciation, unlike the brand new ones. This means you can always resell your vehicle in the future without huge losses.

Tips For Buying a Family Car

April 23, 2015 by Editor

When it comes to the idea of taking your family for a weekend getaway, it’s no longer about those posh sports cars or flashy sedans.

Suddenly, you find yourself tilting your head and looking for vehicles that could serve you well in terms of child safety, expanded capacity and passenger comfort.

So, before you even drive that SUV from the dealer’s lot, check out these five tips that you might find useful when choosing the right car for your family.

Put Safety First. All the Time

The car’s flashy features, style and a few bells and whistles must only come second to safety. To make sure you get the most reliable model, do a background check and look for any recall history and the reasons behind it. The ANCAP safety rating is also useful when assessing the best performing cars in the market. And if you’d like to know which automobile has the best track record, check the USCR ratings as well.

Comfort and Entertainment

Give your children that much legroom and extra comfort while in the backseat. This is particularly important especially during hours of nonstop journey to your destination. And of course, a good entertainment system can keep even the most boring rides all worthwhile.

When Buying a Used Car

Just looking at that shiny new second hand car would make you want to close the deal and drive it down the road. But think again. As we’ve mentioned earlier, always put safety first, and this holds especially true for used cars. In fact, we may never really truly know why its previous owner sold it. But whatever the reasons, it’s always safe to do a background check before buying your choice.

To check the history of the used car, get the vehicle identification number (VIN), and have it checked with PPSR or have a report generated by CarHistory. With the VIN, you would know whether the car was written off, stolen or had a history of repair resulting from serious accidents.

Also check the make and model of the vehicle for any recalls announced by the maker. Sometimes, a car owner would just choose to sell the car for recall instead of returning it to avoid further complications. And you, as a potential buyer, could end up facing any safety issues that might arise in the future.

A Final Thought

No matter how well designed and attractive a family car is on the outside, always put the safety of your family first. Regularly check for recalls, and also check the background of the used car if you wish to go for it to save money.

And when everything is all set, you’re good to go with your very own family car. Enjoy!

Being nineteen (and partner 21) at the time, and buying a car from a dealer, I thought we would be up against folk who treated us with little respect. This was absolutely not the case here! The first car we looked at on our hunt was the one we ended up buying. We've had it close to a year now, and put an additional 70,000km on it, completely trouble free. Thanks guys.read more

Was a little nervous about buying a used vehicle but these guys really made me feel welcome. Sold me a great car at a great price with some generous extras (warranty, RACV cover etc) and gave me a very reasonable price for my old one. Car had a little issue that needed fixing (it happens with second hands) but they were very nice and apologetic about it. Had the issue resolved promptly, no-questions-asked and now it runs wonderfully. Really exemplary after-sales service. Would go there again.read more

I appreciate AJ and Scott over at cool core radiators for doing such a great job. Also a special thanks to Paul at JZ motors for being a great guy and professional, even after I sent some rude messages. Thanks guys, I appreciate all the support.read more

Last Friday I turned up at JZ Motors. I was greeted straight away by Paul. I told him what I was looking for, he pointed me directly to what I had in mind. Details of the vehicles were explained in real person terms, so I understood he said. I test drove 3 Toyota’s and ended up choosing a Camry. Whilst we were in the I met with Jeff, the owner and the deal was done. I’m extremely happy with my new car and very impressed with the way I was treated. I would recommend JZ Motors to anyone. If you want a typical cars salesman that will say anything to close the deal, then please keep walking. But if you can handle a dose of straight shooting, down to earth guys, then you might get a good laugh and a damn good car too. Well worth the extra drive to get there.read more

I bought my Defender 130 from Paul and Jeff...They were bombarded with calls from the "Defender Crazies" but I was the lucky one to get it. It's 15 years old Defender so has it's issues but they sorted out Fuel Pump, Doors, new brakes, full service, light switch and a number of small items before I took delivery! The doors were still an issue but they were happy to give it another go and it was sorted, no questions asked. I've since asked for their advice on a number of improvements I've wanted to make to it and they were great at putting me in touch with local shops and arranging good prices. Thanks Guys...Let me know first when you get your hands on another Defender and thanks for all the favours!read more

Highly recommend these guys. AJ was fantastic to deal with and very knowledgeable and professional. We went in to look at a 4x4 for towing, we drove one and then later drove home in it. 👌🏻 It has been an amazing car and beautiful to drive. Not what we had originally looked at but so glad we bought it. And the service doesn’t just stop once you drive out of the yard like some. AJ is always available on the phone and willing to assist where he can. Thanks AJ.read more
